Each chlorine cartridge typically delivers weeks of sanitizing before the system flips over, signaling it's time for a replacement.
Compared to scooping granules or tossing tabs in a floater, the Flippin' Frog system is a fundamentally different approach to pool sanitizing. Pre-filled chlorine in a sealed cartridge releases at a controlled rate that you set with a simple dial — no overdosing, no underdosing, no daily fussing. The minerals on the green side of the system reduce the chlorine demand significantly, so the chlorine you do use goes much further. Inside the blue cartridge is Trichloroisocyanuric acid (Trichlor) at 99% concentration — the same stabilized chlorine used in most pool tablet products. Stabilized means the chlorine has cyanuric acid built in to protect it from being burned off by UV sunlight, which is essential for outdoor pool use.
