FROG® @ease Cartridge Holder | Sundance 780/880/980
The FROG® @ease System Cartridge Holder is the bracket that mounts the FROG @ease mineral and SmartChlor® cartridges onto your Sundance Spa's primary filter. Without it, the @ease cartridges have nowhere to seat — so for a Sundance owner running the @ease system, the holder is the bridge between the cartridges you buy and the spa they need to live in.
Here's the part that confuses most customers: this holder is built into most Sundance Spas built from 2021 onward. If you bought a newer 780, 880, or 980 series spa, your dealer likely installed the holder at delivery. In that case, you don't need this product — you just need cartridges. This aftermarket holder is for older Sundance spas, replacement situations, or spas where the original holder is missing. A quick look at your filter area will tell you which camp you're in.
The design itself is purpose-built for Sundance: the holder clips directly onto your spa's primary filter cartridge and provides a stable position for both @ease cartridges to seat in. How often do I replace the cartridges, and do I still need to shock?
Replacement timing depends on the product and your usage — mineral cartridges generally last for months, while sanitizer cartridges are swapped more often (the system's indicator tells you when). You'll still add a periodic shock to keep water freshly oxidized, but typically far less often than a fully manual program requires. Always follow the schedule printed on your specific product's packaging.
