Ingredients:

  • 400g sourdough starter

  • 500g bread flour

  • 350ml warm water

  • 10g salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your pizza oven to 500Β°F (260Β°C).

  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, bread flour, and warm water. Mix well until a dough forms.

  3. Add the salt and knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  4. Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let it rest in a warm place for 4-6 hours. During this time, the dough should double in size.

  5. Once the dough has risen, lightly flour a work surface and turn out the dough. Shape it into a ball or loaf shape.

  6. Place the dough on a baking sheet or pizza peel dusted with cornmeal or flour.

  7. Use a sharp knife to make a few shallow slashes on the top of the dough to allow for expansion.

  8. Slide the dough into the preheated pizza oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
