  • 80/20 ground beef, cold

  • 2 cloves garlic peeled and finely minced

  • 2 tablespoons minced onion

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce or A-1 sauce

  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 6-12 slices of Cheddar Cheese

  • 6 hamburger buns



  1. Mix burger ingredients in a bowl until combined. Avoid overmixing.

  2. Shape into 6 equal patties (4-inch width, 1-inch sides) with shallow depression in the middle. Cover and chill until ready to grill.

  3. Preheat grill to medium-high. Brush grates with oil. Grill patties indent-side up for 5 minutes. Flip and cook 3 more minutes for medium.

  4. Add 1-2 cheese slices in the last minute, melting with grill covered. Serve on buns with preferred toppings. Optional: Grill buns first.
