Summer is here, and it's time to fire up the smoker and embrace the sizzling heat of the grill. With longer days and warm evenings, the season brings the perfect opportunity to gather with loved ones, enjoy the great outdoors, and indulge in the mouthwatering flavors of smoked food and BBQ delights.

 

Ingredients

  • 5-6 pounds pork shoulder or pork butt

  • Dry rub of your choice

  • Barbecue sauce (optional)

  • Hamburger buns

 

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).

  2. Rub the pork shoulder or pork butt generously with the dry rub, covering all sides. Check out Leisure Time Inc's dry rub options here!

  3. Place the pork in the smoker, fat side up.

  4. Smoke the pork for approximately 1.5 hours per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches around 195°F (90°C) and the meat is tender.

  5. Remove the pork from the smoker and let it rest for about 30 minutes.

  6. Shred the pork using two forks or meat claws.

  7. Serve the pulled pork on hamburger buns, drizzled with barbecue sauce if desired.
