The FROG® @ease Floating SmartChlor® Cartridge (3 Pack) is the multi-pack refill for the universal @ease floating sanitizing system — the version that drops into your hot tub rather than seating in the filter compartment. Each cartridge is the chlorine-generating half of the @ease pair, designed to release a low, steady level of sanitizer using SmartChlor® Technology while floating in your spa.
For most spa owners, SmartChlor® cartridges are the most frequently replaced piece of the @ease system — each one lasts about 3–4 weeks. Do FROG® cartridges really reduce how much chlorine I use?

How often do I replace the cartridges, and do I still need to shock?
Replacement timing depends on the product and your usage — mineral cartridges generally last for months, while sanitizer cartridges are swapped more often (the system's indicator tells you when). You'll still add a periodic shock to keep water freshly oxidized, but typically far less often than a fully manual program requires. Always follow the schedule printed on your specific product's packaging.
